DisAbility Confidence Day Germany 2025
- Event Datetime
- 15.05.2025, 14:00 - 18:00
The event brings together decision-makers from the German and international business community. Together, we create space for a practical exchange on the inclusion of people with disabilities and accessibility.
You will receive concrete impulses, practical insights and learn how inclusive measures can be implemented in a meaningful way in the business environment.
Workshops
After welcoming words from our moderator Jenni Zeller, the program of this year's DisAbility Confidence Day Germany started with workshops on the following topics:
“From risk to opportunity - How we can talk about digital accessibility.”
"The Neurodiversity Gap - And how we can close it successfully"
"Plain Inclusion - What's next for the management?"
Chosen experts shared their knowledge with our participants and invited them to a joint exchange in smaller groups. We are delighted with the large number of interested parties, even if this meant that one of our workshop rooms was almost bursting at the seams.
Stage Program
After our guests attended one of the three workshops, a short break was followed by our stage program with keynotes from Wolfgang Kowatsch (Managing Director & Co-Founder, myAbility) and Cawa Younosi (Managing Director, Charta der Vielfalt) and the myAbility Advisory Board in Germany as well as video messages from members of the Bundestag Heike Heubach and Simone Fischer. With their contributions, our stage guests illustrated the relevance of measures that promote inclusion in the workplace, but also in society.
Last but not least, a leadership panel, moderated by Nora Bilz (Head of German Office, myAbility), in which Birgit Eiber (Head of Coordination Office for Inclusion in the BA and the Labor Market, Federal Employment Agency), Ivonne Gassmann (Chief Product & Innovation Officer Germany, Hays), Stefan Farnetani (Digital Accessibility & CEO, mindscreen) and Dirk Appelhoff (Senior Managing Director, SAP Business Group Lead EMEA, Accenture) shared insights into their work with a particular focus on inclusion of people with disabilities in the workplace, concluded the stage program.
At the stand of AfB social & green IT, one of the largest European inclusion companies, our visitors were also able to find out how people with disabilities refurbish IT devices and what tips for more inclusion in everyday working life result from this.
After the stage program, we enjoyed informal networking on the top floor of Accenture with a view over Munich from the roof terrace. A special highlight was the musical accompaniment by blind&lame, who enriched the finale with their acoustic performance.
We would like to thank all our guests for the exchange, the valuable discussions and hope that we will meet again soon at another myAbility Business Forum event.
