Last week, we finally celebrated the very first DisAbility Confidence Day (DCD) Switzerland at the Google Accessibility Discovery Center in Zurich. We’re happy to announce that the myAbility Business Forum has now officially arrived in Switzerland! Interested in joining our business network? Please reach out to our lead Andreas Maierhofer via andreas.maierhofer@myability.org.

The diverse program of the DCD featured workshops, panels, keynotes and more with various insights on inclusion in the business world and beyond. In the following, you will find all the highlights of this exciting day.

Program of the DisAbility Confidence Day Switzerland

The program started with three workshops:

  • “How to Convince the Management of the Inclusion of People with Disabilities”: In this workshop, managers and leaders shared their experiences and some practical guidance for initiating an inclusion journey within a company and all its stakeholders.
  • "Digital Accessibility Meets Google ADC": This hands-on workshop offered a practical perspective and exciting insights into implementing digital accessibility and tools at the Google ADC.
  • "Unlocking Your Full Potential – The Power of Invisible Disabilities": This workshop explored everyday life with invisible disabilities and the potential that comes with it.

In the plenary program, we heard contributions from Matthias Leicht-Miranda (Swiss Federal Bureau for the Equality of Persons with Disabilities, EBGB) and Patrick Schilling (Google Switzerland), a compelling keynote by Louisa Riess (University of St. Gallen) and two diverse panels:
