What are the biggest challenges for inclusion in the business world? And how do we meet them on a national, regional and international level? What role can disAbility inclusion play?

On March 5, 2025, myAbility had the privilege of hosting an exclusive Side Event of the Zero Project Conference in the UNIQA Tower in Vienna. The evening brought together high-ranking international thought leaders and business decision-makers, fostering meaningful discussions on the future of disability inclusion in the corporate world.

This evening's goal was clear: to unite forces in the business world for a shared and inclusive future.

A highlight were three fireside chats with three inspiring women: Caroline Casey (The Valuable 500), Susan Scott-Parker (Business Disability International), and Diane Lightfoot (Business Disability Forum) shared their personal journeys and experiences regarding DE&I backsliding, artificial intelligence and economic recession, highlighting the transformative power of disability inclusion in the business world.

On top of that, a C-level panel discussion with René Knapp (UNIQA), Alvaro Alonso (Beiersdorf), Gerlinde Tröstl-Katinger (Markas) and Gregor Demblin (myAbility) elaborated on the the future of DE&I.

To conclude, an interview with Carla Bonino (ONCE) emphasized the importance of international cooperation, ESG reporting and myAbility becoming a member of the Disability Hub Europe in that spirit. Lastly, Jürgen Menze (Global Business Disability Network, ILO) left us with a powerful call for more cooperation in the pursuit of our common goal: more equity, diversity and inclusion.
